How to Video Evaluation

The feedback that I got from some of the people who viewed my video was positive and taken into consideration. Most people liked the idea that was shown in the video, the others were happy with how I added humor into the video.

In my opinion I think the whole idea I came up with was a good idea and I think it will actually help people who would watch the video and want to learn from it. I am happy for adding humor in the video so that the video wasn’t just dull and boring. Also after every video I was able to add a tip after so that people wouldn’t get confused if they couldn’t understand the scenarios. I also like that how I drew my audience in at the beginning with the music choice and the first footage introducing the scene. The editing was decent I can tell that I am slowly improving and it made the video flow very well. However, I am not happy about the level of sound in the video because in some of the scenarios you couldn’t really hear what was said because if the background noise being louder than the voices, so you couldn’t really hear what was being said.  

I think I could have improved the amount of background noise in the video because it over took the characters voices in the video so you couldn’t really hear anything. I could have improved this by recording in a quieter environment to get a good result, or get a mic above the camera so that it can be able to capture the characters voices more instead of the background noise. I also think that I should have used an instrumental instead of the original song which could have made it better.

In the future when I record something similar I will take my time and think thoroughly on the location to film and see if there are a lot of background noise or use the proper equipment to record this to make it better. Moreover, I feel like if I would make it longer it would have been more effective than it already is.

Scene 1

The scene opens up with Lloyd on his phone and a female walking past and Lloyd tries to grab her attention.

Lloyd: ayy come here let me chat to you quick

Female: EW don’t talk to me

Lloyd looks at her walk off then shakes his head

Lloyd: have you ever tried to speak to a girl and she does what she did, okay maybe you’re doing it wrong I’m going to show you 2 ways how to do it and 2 ways how not to do it. Pay attention cause you may learn something from this.

The scene then ends of with the scene blacking out and text saying “pay attention”

Scene 2

The scene opens up with Lloyd on the phone outside of college then sees a beautiful girl and then he goes and tries to approach her.

Lloyd: Oi put your number on my phone and don’t make my day long (pulls out phone)

Female: I’ve got a man

Lloyd:  So your man don’t allow you to have male friends

The girl gets up and gives Lloyd a dirty look then walks off

Lloyd: You’re clapped anyways

The scene then blacks out giving us the first tip of how not to approach a girl

Scene 3

The scene opens up with a boy leaning on a wall in a subway on his phones he then sees a girl and tries to approach her

Philip: Yeah Yeah let me chat to you innit

Female: EW who are you, I’ve got a man

Philip: Let me chat to you init (girl pushes him and walks off) Your clapped anyway

The scene then blacks out with a second tip on how to not approach a girl

Scene 4

How to move to a girl

The scene opens up with a car park scene showing a female walking from her car to her destination while Philip tries to approach her

Philip: Excuse me can I talk to you

Female: Yeah sure you can

Philip: What you doing here

Female: Just trying to get some things you

Philip: Oh okay I hear, I’m just on my way home, can I have your number please

Female: Yeah sure

Hands over his phone, she then puts her number on there

Philip: Thanks I will call you

Female: Alright

They both walk off, scene ends and the first tip appears

Scene 4

The scene opens up with Lloyd walking and then spots female then talks to her.

Lloyd: Excuse me is anyone sitting her

Female: No

Lloyd then takes a seat

Lloyd: so what you doing today

Female: just waiting for my friend really, you

Lloyd: I’m just here chilling

Female oh okay

Lloyd: you look nice I’m feeling your style

Female: Haha

 thank you

Lloyd: No worries, can I get your number

Female: Yeah sure

Pulls out phone, she then stores her number on his phone

Lloyd: I will call you yeah

Female: Alright

Lloyd walks off and gives a cheeky wink to the camera, the scene blacks out then there last is a finale tip on how to talk to a girl.

The principles of digital video technology interactive media.

In this essay I shall attempt to understand the principles of digital video technology in the interactive media. To do this I shall analyse various application and uses of digital video technology before covering the technology involved. It is hoped that from what I learnt will help me in creating my own interactive media product.

Interactive media platform are videos that interact with the audience that are interested in the platform videos for example interactive media platform can be shown on the internet, email attachments, DVD games and also social media. So therefore there is a big audience attraction in the media platform.

 Different media interaction platform videos are likely to be used on social networking sites because there is a vase amount of people that use social media and find out anything via the social networking sites they are using. Also this can be used in games because some games interact with the player so therefore this format can be used. The disadvantages of the interactive media platform are that many people may abuse the video platform by watching/playing some things that are not appropriate for their age and learning from this which can relate to violence and danger. The benefits of media interaction platform videos are that there are many people tuned into the internet so therefore there are a lot of attracted audience connecting with the media platform. We call this interactive media because definition of interactive media normally refers to products and services on digital computers based system which respond to the user’s actions by presenting content such as text, moving image, animation etc. which means that the media platform has a connection to the audience using these platform,

Uses of interactive videos are platform videos that interact with the audience and are put into groups such as education, informal and entertainment. This platform can be shown in short films, promotional material, film trailers, viral marketing and e-learning platform.

Uses of interactive videos can be shown in short films, user-generated content etc, the benefits of interactive videos are effective because it helps us as the audience learn about what is going on in the world today for example panorama is one of the interactive video platform because it is in the informal group which shows/tells us what is going on in the world today and it also gives us information about what is happening behind closed doors in the country that we live in. There are other groups like entertainment and educational category that interact with the audience and also build a connection with the people watching it. The disadvanges of uses of interactive videos are that some platform explained can give out false information to the member of public which can result to disagreements in the society that the topic is based in.

There are many different formats because they represent different platforms and have a different way of connecting to the audience. For example, the difference of interactive media platform is different to the different uses of video is that interactive media platform are mainly social media platforms and catch up websites which shows videos however the different uses of video is different because it shows us educational, informal and entertainment through short films etc.

What is Streaming? Streaming is when listening to music or watching videos in real time instead of downloading a file to your computer and watching it later.

Resolution when it comes to image has an impact because on the image because it changes the way the image looks and also we can be able to see more details in the image when it gets bigger.

Most interactive videos are made to interact with the audience in a different type of way through the media platform and also to promote something for example a viral marketing platform is something that has moved rapidly and widely from one Internet user to another which promotes something, for example the coffee shop prank. The coffee shop prank is about a girl who is sitting down peacefully in in a coffee shop doing her work and a random man walks by and pours his coffee all over her laptop, the girl gets upset and tries to push him but as she does she gets supernatural powers and the pushes the man against the wall with her powers and the customers in the shop get scared and shocked because they haven’t seen anything like that before. The whole reason for this video was to promote the horror film Carrie.

Also, another example of viral marketing videos is a video of the company LG pranking their customers in an elevator. Their idea was to show their life like screens. The company got customers to go on a lift to whatever floor they are going to as they step in the lift the lift floor looks like white marble tiles so therefore the customers wouldn’t expect anything, so as the lift starts to move it then gets stuck which makes the customers a bit frightened and worries because they don’t know how long they will be stuck for or if anybody will notice. The lights then flicker and the the tiles start to look like its falling so the customers start to scream because they think they are about to fall and die.

Most companies like to do viral marketing videos because it draws the audience attention and also makes them have more customers because of what it is promoting, also it gets around very quickly so a lot of people are seeing their videos and may be interested.

Interactive media is a big thing in todays society because that’s how everything gets around and also how companies can advertise their products by connecting with the audience also show them how to use their product in adverts. Also interactive media is not all about companies promoting their products it also connects with the audience by educating them, informing the audience and entertaining them by short films, games, mobile devices, internet, eLearning platforms etc.
